Gingrich isn't even going to be the (R) candidate, Dave. He's just got too much baggage, so much baggage trailing back so far a lot of voters have forgotten it or never knew he was carrying it. But they'll learn it ALL, not from the (D)'s, but from Newt's other primary opponents. He didn't leave office in disgrace for nothin'! So, pick: Santorum, Paul, Huntsman or Romney? Santorum - he's got plenty of Jeebus, really LOVES feti, but can't win the general Paul - consistent over decades, consistently wacky, can't win the general Huntsman - nearly a (D), can win the general - but too sane to be the (R) candidate Romney - he'll say all the words you want to hear, and later all the words the general voters want to hear. Can win the general if the economy really sucks.
