Zork not a killing game - a figure it out game. At least the first ones were. I haven't seen any newer versions than 10 years ago.

Edit: I don't know about the knife in Doom or Quake, but there is either Karate until you find the chainsaw (bloody way to kill) or in Quake there's the battle axe (no, not his wife).
