Roger and All:

Could someone knowledgable about how market making works explain what happened to CITRIX? What has to occur technically for a stock to go from 76 to 64, all in a matter of 15-30 minutes? (Huge volume, of course. Can't believe this was a coordinate attack by shorts?) Then, next day, it goes to 78, again on huge volume. I have seen this happen in AND a couple of times, but in those cases, the run-up has come first, then the fall to previous levels.

I think I understand the motivation--somebody is trying to make money. But I would like to understand better the trading mechanics that produces (permits?) this type of result. Eye-opening, to say the least. TIA.

A little, quick-hitter if anyone is interested...astm up over 60% on patent news. Should be good for some profit-taking later if anyone cares to short it.

Thanks Roger.

This and the Kahuna thread are my favorites! I've learned alot lurking around SI for the last couple of months.

Number One lesson: Don't believe everything you read on SI!

Number two lesson: Keep an open mind to new ideas.
