Extremely tough to answer that due to the semantic issues of "without implosion or explosion", since both go on daily. I don't foresee the ME staying out of a shooting war for more than 6-12 months though. As far as a large blowup, gold peak, the 'mass human excitability' cycle, wars, etc., my current best guess centers around 2015... and as usual, that and a few dollars will buy you a premium cup of coffee. I do foresee some thing(s) relatively big happening in the first two weeks of January 2012, for what its worth.
