#3 put the word/phrase/paragraph within a < i > < / i > pair to get italics. Of course you need to leave out the spaces to get them to work. italics

For bold, substitue the letter b for the i bold.

For bold and italics use a < i > < b > text, yadda, yadda < / b > < / i > bold italics
