I followed Buffett into MA and also bought DFS in the credit card sector. This is the only example of Buffett buying two competitors. He also has Visa. I also own DG. I do not own any other stocks that Berkshire has.

I typically try to hold only twenty to twenty five stocks at a time. I don't know how to keep track of more and I mean keeping track in an efficient manner, not just watching PE levels or just the chart. Unfortunatly, I do not have a staff.

After spending some time looking over the current holdings in Buffett's portfolio, the clear value pick for me is IR. Just simply on the discount to its peer group that its currently valued at and management's proven record. Second place, more on technicals than on fundamentals goes to Kraft.

BOX qualifies as a buy by my methodology, both technically and fundamentally. I also like CAP, although it does not offer a dividend. Nice find.

EKS, let's look over Barron's picks looking for value next.

Hi EKS. This article from Seeking Alpha reminded me of your post regarding Buffett's picks. Interesting formula that you might want to add to your arsenal along with the Graham number.

Picked up some more IR shares after reading the article.

I am now up 45% on following Buffet into DG. Recently added another Buffet pick, WFC. WFC is the number one bank in the Bakken region. Did not follow your lead into BOX, but will check it out this weekend to see if I am not too late.

SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd. (BOX) - Buy Out offer @ $23.00/share

Ontario Teachers' to buy SeaCube Container Leasing for $467 million

Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, one of Canada's largest pension funds, said on Friday it will buy SeaCube Container Leasing Ltd ( BOX.N) for about $467 million.
Under the terms of the agreement, SeaCube shareholders will receive $23 for each share, a 13 percent premium to the company's Friday closing on the New York Stock Exchange.

Apparently the Ontario Teacher's found SeaCube (BOX) to be undervalued. It's been awhile since I had one of these. A nice way to start out the New Year.
