I'm not about to waste my money on the crappy Brand X China bulbs. LOL - GE's bulbs ARE made in China.

We're going down to Home Depot tomorrow to check out the price there. We'll head to Wally's if they have a better deal. Thanks for reminding me! We have a couple of cases of 60 watt and 40 watt each.

Funny....that's just what we were doing today....It is AMAZING when we figured out how many bulbs were in all the fixtures in the house, and garage, and outside..... He did a big study of types and what wattage we needed, and price from the web....but I had heard that Home Depot has good prices...turns out, they do....so we got quite a few and will get more soon....We really have lots of the candle tip bulbs....30 in the house, plus the 40 watt clear round ones with the small base....another 26 of those....18 3-way lamps, and the 40 watt 4" clear ones as well today....plus some halogen bulbs for outside.....I had never stopped to look at how long they were supposed to last until this project.... We know that basically it's the 100 watts that are going out in Jan, BUT when you start taking away bulb makers and their major product, soon, all the rest of the types will be more expensive. Drat the Congress, President and the idiots who think this will really help the earth.... Smithee, good idea....write the date they are installed with a felt tip pen....
