Anemic volume and the VIX is strangely not as high as you would expect, precious metals falling with the boarder market....any thoughts?

Looks like a mass withdrawal of capital from the markets. Possible explanation: The MF Global fiasco most likely has many hedge fund clients spooked. They are disturbed by the fact that MF Global investors completely lost access to their money and don't have a way of getting it back. Perhaps this broad retreat is causing margin calls, resulting in commodities suffering as well.

I'm thinking we've seen all the bounce we're going to see today..

My UUP indicator shows that the USD is rallying now on the 30 minute chart after nearly hitting the neutral MACD line. This should give it another push into the close and opening tomorrow, with a short term target of 22.15 and maybe 22.25 tomorrow:

When UUP goes up, I'm short the market indices. I will admit that I'm playing TZA since I think the small caps will be hurt the worst as the instututionals try and prop up the "generals" of the DOW and SPX..

I'm just seeing any support for the SPY/SPX until 1150, which is the lower Weekly Bollinger Band. Then maybe a short bounce from there.

But the 20, 50, and 200 DMA are all trending downward now.. Not a good sign.
