Xylan (XYLN). Check out the graph. Except for one quarter, Xylan has consistently met expectations, yet the price fell from $74 down to the current price of $19. Hype by the underwriters is what drove the price up to levels it should have never reached.

Also, look at Forte Software (FRTE)

Morgan Stanley took them public the same day as Xylan.
They peaked in the $80's. Now they are around $10.
