What you're talking is Larmarckism. Because some ancestor fell out of a tree, people now have an ingrained fear of falling. Because ancestral mothers lost their babies, modern mothers feel fear and panic when she turns around and finds her baby gone. Good job. ;>)

common sense intuitively informs you these responses arose out of millions of years of repeated experience in the environment
