In short no. We must reorganize our entire economy. But two problems will prevent this: 1) Whomever has the money has the power to control society and they will in such a way it is in their best interest. 94% of all elections are won by who has the most money. With the citizens United decision the very rich like the koch brothers and corporate giants can and will spend bilions ot buy congress and we can do nothing. We sure as hell cannot match it. And the rich will not give up either their money or power without a fight. When only rich kids can afford ot attend the best universities that is a doomsday scenario for our society. 2) We cannot continue living with total disregard for limits of growth and conspicuous consumption. We are not adequately enlightened. And we had better face the fact of global warming!
