True... it's a waiting game, and it's easy to get greedy and regret writing those calls when the market rallies when you think about how much more you'd make without those short calls, but it is definitely steady income... and also, over the longer term, you can actually make more in a covered call position than with what the market itself can give you in a net long position, especially when the market does nothing but go sideways in a broad range for months at a time... the strategy is to do nothing a sit back and wait... the only problem is that doing nothing and waiting is hard to do...<g> GZ
