I checked it out. I'll believe Rossi before this guy - at least Rossi is changing matter into energy in some small way. That rotating disc reminds me of a flywheel which is KNOWN to store energy of rotation - kinetic energy - and these can rotate for days while giving up that energy - perhaps that is not being considered in the calculations.

There's a company called Edenpure which even had Bob Vila shilling their product in their infomercial, with some references to how heating only one room can save energy but mostly suggestion on how efficient the heater is. Testimonials on the infomercials say how much money people will save on their heating bills by using this heater and it dances and dances around saying it's more efficient than other heaters without directly saying so (other than through testimonials). The infrared quartz bulbs heat a copper coil in a patented method for a highly efficent process according to them. The reality: the conservation of energy law still applies and the Edenpure isn't exempt. Pure electric heaters (exempting heat pumps) are all exactly 100% efficient in converting electrical energy into heat energy--it doesn't matter if the heater cost $19.98 at Wal-mart or $1,000 somewhere else. Electrical power also costs about twice as much as natural gas for the same amount of heat so in most cases the heater will cost more money. You would have to see the infomercial to see how misleading it is. Then there's the 'Amish' heater which is also highly misleading in the commercials.
