I understand your frustration over the illegal immigration problem, and it should never have occurred -- that is a given. However, we must confront the situation as it exists today, in 2012, and not how it should have been if immigration had been properly handled back in the late 80's and before.

Shouldn't we blame and punish our corrupt political structure (the Eric Holder types) for the illegal immigrant crisis and not the highly-motivated Mexican who was looking for honest work and found it? For this reason I think Gingrich's approach may be a good, possibly the only, realistic alternative at this time. It is a departure from reality to think we can ever find and deport every illegal.

Let me present two things for you to consider. One, target the bums -- the illegals that must be exterminated or deported are the criminal-gangster types that comprise the Latin Kings, MS-13, Mexican Pride and the other Latino gangs infesting the nation -- these low-life bastards contribute nothing. Two, when we consider illegals who come to the US => twenty-five years ago, that have been law abiding and hard-working during the intervening years, we should realize that they are not undesirable. I'd swap them anytime for most of the Muslim-racist Somalis I've seen, who were given citizenship no-questions-asked, by Clinton. So for the sake of realistic practically, we might consider affording some long-standing illegal Latinos, a little slack by granting permanent work-immigration status -- after all aren't they the type immigrant we should desire??
