I remember reading that Richard Nixon once said that the best advice he had gotten from Lyndon Johnson was that it was important to periodically get out of the Washington DC. Perspective and sanity. Unfortunately for Johnson, he never took his own advice. Personally, I would rather have Obama working on his golf game than on affairs of state. Better for us.

i, for one, would argue the way obama does president is not stressful. he outsources every slightly important and important decision to someone else, including congress and various blue ribbon people, e.g., bowles-simpson. after outsourcing the jobs and/or decisions, obama then does not make a decision.
