Why do liberals like bentway and Shep love Clinton but think Obama is too moderate and centrist? The opposite is true. Bill Clinton FAILED to get universal healthcare, moved to the center after 1994, worked with Gingrich/Armey-led Republicans to balance the budget and reform welfare. He didn't resurrect ANY of Carter's energy programs. He refused to send the Kyoto treaty to the Senate but put it on the shelf. He gave oil companies royalty relief to encourage them to drill in deeper waters in the GOM. He pushed NAFTA through Congress over union opposition. He threatened to go to war with Saddam who he swore had WMD's. He supported the Iraq war in 2002. He signed the Defense of Marraige Act which Obama won't support. He started Don't Ask Don't Tell that Obama ended. Obama has flushed billions away on worthless green 'investments' while shutting down coal mines, coal plants, restricting oil and gas drilling, an aircraft factory in SC, a guitar maker in TN among other things, among the better known achievements. Obama threw away almost a trillion dollars on a failed stimulus that the CBO admits will hurt the country in the long run, while sustaining a minimum of jobs. If Clinton were in office, he'd have signed off on Keystone XL by now. Bill Clinton treated liberals and their causes the same way he treated Juanita Broderick, Monica Lewinsky, Kathleen Willey, and Gennifer Flowers and liberals loved him for it. Obama is a SUCCESSFUL liberal President ... sure the economy sucks, businesses that the administration hasn't actually shut down are afraid to hire, but that's an ACHIEVEMENT for liberalism.
