In today's world the antiwar movement is more the partisan tool you spoke of. Without a draft there isn't the same tension that existed with Vietnam.

You'd better know it. Left co-opted Nam anti-war protests for their own use. Took over the Dem party in the early 70's. Once we went to volunteer the anti-war movement died. The left has been trying to institute socialism or worse ever since, using the levers of govt. and especially higher education. They now infect education from the grade level up.
