here's a video of a newsmax audio with bill clinton praising newt for immigration and other things. i think newt has arrived at the correct middle ground on this issue between what obama wants with a path to citizenship and the hardcore right wants with tossing them all out. i think newt has effectively solved this vexing illegal immigrant problem if republican primary voters would just realize it. apparently this was part of reagan's solution that he was never able to get implemented, but newt supported it then too. realclearpolitics.com
