Why is it unrealistic to expect to elect the most conservative candidates possible to the White House and Congress? I know that you are an avid, strong conservative, Cage, so I'm not sure why you think that a much harder line against illegal immigration than what Gingrich is proposing is not the correct way forward.

I've read Gingrich's positions on immigration on his website, I've listen to his comments in his own words during the debates and interviews, and I've listen to the rebuttals to his arguments from Bachmann and Romney. From my perspective, Gingrich is very soft and weak on the issue and he deserves the D- that he received from NumbersUSA, which, frankly, seems generous.

There is obviously a growing discord against illegal aliens and the harm they bring to the USA, so now seems like the perfect time to use that sentiment to begin the push to remove them. Endorsing the ideas of Gingrich and Perry, who are moderates at best, sort of says, "I'm willing to accept illegal aliens in America." I cannot say that, ever.

I think we need to reach for and demand more. The Left will be incensed and highly-motivated to win regardless of who we run out there, so I think that we must select the most right-wing Tea Party Republican candidate who refuses to accommodate undesirables, illegals, and their enablers. We may never have a better opportunity again. If we don't deal with this right now, we will certainly be outnumbered and outvoted very, very soon. Let's do our best to elect candidates who promise to clean house now (or at least come as close to that ideal as possible).

If we are so weak that we cannot recognize our past mistakes and defend the sovereignty of our nation, we deserve the fate that awaits us. In my opinion, our nation's mistakes have been its extreme generosity and tolerance. It's time to take drastic steps to toughen up and correct that before it's too late. I honestly think the sentiment for such change is there now and growing. Let's move on that while we can.
