CF, I take it that you have not heard of The Living Will, The Durable Power of Attorney, or the Do not Recsuscitate DNR Laws. In medicine, a "do not resuscitate" or "DNR" is a legal order written either in the hospital or on a legal form to respect the wishes of a patient to not undergo CPR ...

Missouri two years ago passes such legislation where the individual can decide when he wants to end his life. A friend of mine, who was a Catholic leader during the last year made such a decision to conclude her life.

Kenneth, and add a legal understanding of these laws and the need for each of us to have a Trust, Living Will, Durable power of Attorney and when a DNR provision is desirable.
