What's real about Pizza Cain?

I am engaged in a somewhat desultory debate with elements of the alternate universe on this subject elsewhere. Officially, it seems, the problem is the dreaded liberal media and their conspiracy against the noble Cain. Nobody seems willing to say they actually support Cain, though I promised to vote for him when my primary came around if he was still running. Actually, I promised to vote for whatever nutcase was in the lead, I demurred from Romney on grounds of historical evidence of rationalism there.

Funny thing about Clinton, the line from the Right seems to be that Clinton has bestowed blanket immunity for Republicans on dubious sexual issues. Apparently because the Clinton impeachment failed, it's not allowed to criticize any Republican about any such problem, no matter how egregious their transgressions or how piously they present themselves as the vanguard of Christian righteousness. There is, of course, the deeper issue of the contrast between Christian righteousness and the biblical account of Christ as a forgiving and inclusive savior, but I have enough problems getting a handle on Republican political theology without going off into the thickets of conventional theology.

>>The Democrats are terrified of a strong, articulate "real" black man. The woman is just a tool.<<

Your second statement is valid. The first is utter nonsense.

Democrats don't dislike Cain because he's a "strong, articulate, 'real' black man." They dislike him because his domestic policy ideas are extremely regressive, and his foreign policy ideas are "spinning around in his head" so he's not sure which bold statement is supposed to be used in response to which question.

And is Obama fictitious? Is he somehow less real than Cain?

I guess that's one line to take. Not a winner, I think.
