Oh goody! 10% upside. What a risk/reward ratio!

Princeton, New Jersey, Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- America Online Inc. (AOL US) was reiterated long-term ''buy'' by analyst Brett Wilhelm at Chatfield Dean & Co. The 12 to 18-month target price is $82.50 per share.

To all, I am a central NJ aol customer who is finding current service as bad as early this year. I just received a flyer in the mail about cable modem service thru Comcast - 100 X as fast for 39.95 per month.
I sat down and figured out how much extra time I spend each month because of garbage aol service. It was a no brainer to sign up. If you have Comcast in your area you may wish to inquire when this service will become available.

My calcs used *pre-tax NET* margins, not GROSS margins.
Still perhaps they are close to 15%-20% than the 12% used in
the calcs.

Re. Nifty-Serve:

As 'technology licensee' it has no obligation to AOL other than
the puny license payments. Apparently, AOL has tried to cut a
deal for NS to convert to AOL, but NS which is by far the largest
ISP in Japan demanded mucho that AOL couldn't/wouldn't deliver.
Anyway, AOL's silence about AOL Japan, launched in April, has
been telling.
