MARKET TALK: LG The Likely Customer Behind Corning's WarningAs analysts are cutting EPS estimates in the wake of Corning's (GLW) 4Q warning Tuesday, CLSA slashes its investment rating to underperform from outperform amid falling LCD-glass prices. "Poor profitability at panel makers seems to be catching up with glass makers." As for the Korean company that is denying some GLW deliveries, CLSA says the culprit is likely LG Display (LPL). GLW "has fought to reclaim lost market share by lowering its premium pricing and LG Display still abandoned them after" Nippon Electric Glass (5214.TO) and Asahi Glass (5201.TO) "reduced pricing once again." CLSA lowers its GLW price target to $14 from $17>
