Among other things, my ex told me I was becoming a downer cuz every morning, when we woke up to NPR news (during the Gingrich years), the first words out of my mouth, in response to some story, were "fucking Republicans". She didn't ask me to say effing Repubs, tho. One of those mornings was when I vowed to never vote for an R for partisan office again in this and future lifetimes.

Anyway, I switched the station to rock'n'roll. Very uplifting. It helps that I have one of the best stations in the world.

That's our best hope really. But, a thin thread, given their past record. Watch the military to threaten closing bases and plants in (D) districts..

..and then there's the Obama veto too!
