I wish Paul Ryan would place his name in nomination - a Romney/Ryan ticket could easily win.

I don't know specifically about Ryan. The article I noticed, indicated that there was still time for others to put their name in the running noting February 2012 -------I have also read that the decision on who the nominee will be could run until the National Convention.

In 1979-1980, that seemed to be the case with Reagan and George Bush in the spring of the election year------Reagan was polling low in our area in No. Va. However, as the summer months progressed Reagan took the lead in Virginia. That is when we knew that Reagan would be the nominee.

Any candidate considering running should put their name in soon ------otherwise the Republican caucuses and conventions at the State levels will be in process without a chance for a new candidate to take votes that translate into delegates at the Republican National Convention.

One of the major polls now shows Obama likely to lose
the following states----all states that he won in 2008.

The same article indicated Obama would have to take
half of these states to win.

Colorado
Florida
Iowa
Michigan
Nevada
New Hampshire
New Mexico
Wisconsin
North Carolina
Ohio
Virginia
