Not surprising. Most under the euro (other than Germany) basically have no resource base or extensive manufacturing. Selling a bit of olive oil or wine is not enough. Umbrella controls over the money to control economic factors such as inflation produce entirely disparate effects because these countries are NOT "united states". They are disparate and separate countries and economies with little in common other than being home to homo sapiens. The numbers in that report are incredibly telling:

Germany with debt equivalent to 82% of GDP while Sweden's is 36%.

Good to be struggling here in Canada...
