I have no problem with vivus longs if their opinions are honest, however that is not what this thread is subjected too. I am
disgusted with comments about Zona being a scam and when that gangster
ascensio released his attack your compatriots only re-enforced my
opinion that garbage statements have no place on this thread. Constructive criticism is always well taken by all Zonas however
destructive comments are not.

Gary, I enjoyed your post, as usual, and agree. As I'm sure you know, most longs just like to cheer- that also goes for VVUS longs, as you also observed (of which I'm one, BTW).

To all: I listened to the call and plan on doing so again and taking copious notes. It was extremely informative, and I found the CEO one of the most credible I've heard on a call. I have also followed most of Asensio's picks and shorted several of them the last year and a half or so. I've also been long on ZONA before and got out many weeks ago. I was thinking about going short just before Asnesio's report came out. But looking once more at the company and more carefully, especially hearing the conference call, I plan on going long again. I don't yet know at what price, however, I will enter. In brief, I think Asensio is quite wrong on this one, although that's not to say he won't make a profit in the short term. As usual, several of his statements are entirely inaccurate- but that in the past hasn't prevented him from getting the big picture right. But this time not only has he erred on some of the details (addressed in the call), but also in the big picture, IMO.

I am concerned about the stock in the near term as it may be victim to a news vacuum for a time. We will see.

A fine post and brings to light the fact that in any industry, one can have different investments in different companies that are trying to compete in the same market. If one didn't, many would call it foolish to ignore the fact the markets can sustain many companies. None of these drugs are going to be THE CURE...we are talking about a very complex issue, made quite clearly by the CC today.
I will only say here that no matter what I think of Vivus or any of the others, I don't go around bad mouthing them...I put my money where my mouth is and carry on a discussion of what's happening in my stock.
And especially with ED!
This is a drug that has to be used with a psychological influence going on at the same time! Now that HAS to be the most complex set of conditions I have every seen. There are so many facets to the human sexual process that NO ONE can predict all the answers. anyway...back to the Conference Call...
I was VERY impressed by the absolute handle this man (Joe) has on the whole picture. I am not a long term CC listener, but the way in which this guy handled himself it was the most confidence building call I have ever heard. Being on the line for a product that is not out yet, and with no income (This of course Excluding the great new aggreement)
from the product itself...man he was good.
Right up front...amazing knowledge of the process, and great name recall for the players that helped him get to where they are.
I'm still in for a much longer period after that. The immediate price problem is still there...that I can't predict, but the openness and fact that they had the call right away...this IS the way to handle this type of wild shorting newsreleasing action with action .
That is what they did...
