Barry, I think we are on the same wave length. If you would like, I could send you a short chapter, 14 pages in length, about the various views of inspiration by Clifton J. Allen. He was formerly the Editoral Secretary, of the Southern Baptist Sunday School Board and was the General Editor of The Broadman Bible Commentary. He takes a very balance look, listing the strengths and weakness of each. I found that once I settled this issue in my mind, it gave me much more freedom and direction in my understanding of the Bible. If you would like a copy, E-mail me an address.
