A 747 jet flies at about 600 miles in one hour. If we could take a 747 jet to the Sun, it would take 17 years to fly from the Earth to the Sun.

Then would take 285,000yrs just to get to get to Centauri Proxima by 747 but if one hopped a ride on the fastest meteor @ 160,000mph you could cut that time down to about 10,000 years just to get to the nearest star and didn't run into any trouble .

This just time/space travel for 4.3light years ...
