Steve and Irby: Thanks for the explanations. This re affirms my need to "blow off" my current broker. They are still trying to remedy their erratic entries/charges for (different) commission charges . It seems that every other transaction is a new fee. I blasted my broker, yesterday, after asking for a correction on their "modern math" (with no result yet). I am also reminding him to withdraw the firm's "withholding on tefra" on my statement since Sept. This was not called for, as they lost my green form once or twice. And I have a written note from him admitting as much. What a mess.. And now, the icing on the cake is that they have been mis informing me about my "buying power" of my account/and margin. Well, at least they're consistent . . . they're always wrong! Once they get this nightmare cleaned up, I'm "outa there". Again, Thanks Guys Jaytee
