I have been watching that series when I can catch it. Yes, it is the best. In the search for knowledge one passes through many stages. I think the most important stage is when one goes from thinking in concrete terms, to thinking abstractly. It takes lots of work to learn to do that. That is also when one can see both Zen and Existentialism in the minds eye. I think the final stage is when one realizes just how blind, and ignorant, all of us are. The best we can do is get a peek at that blindness and realize our own ignorance. The human condition. What I can't figure is exactly how people with a good education and a normal intelligence can believe some of the very outlandish stuff they do? I do think our brains are somehow basically divided into a "liberal perception and inclination" and a "conservative perception and inclination" and recent scientific testing has confirmed that difference is real and based on nature and not just a matter of nurture (although they are intertwined and hard to separate) e.g. perception of fear, and different areas of use in the brain, etc. And the reason I believe the two party system has a root in brain differences and what the separation you see in congress is really, is just our sorting ourselves out accordingly.
