Yes, I agree, Rose is a rare one. I have always looked for the best minds and books to learn from. Started reading the ancient Greeks in my teens, but had no idea what they were talking about. In my junior year in college I went on a 2 year vision quest to understand them. I lay on a white couch for 2 years and read as many of the great thinkers I could. Ironically it led me to existentiaism.

I really like Steven Pinker, Noam Chomsky and Krugman and I have read a dozen biographies of Einstein over the years. I am reading Walter Issacson's recent one. Very good.

But bottom line, we live in a quantum universe, so understanding it is sort of like understanding the language of the coutnry you are living in. Sort of important.

As a reader, let me ask you if you have read Ender's game? That book might be #1 on my fun list.

"From the first time Rose took to the air, was immediately drawn to him"

Sort of like a Rogerian therapist with a penchant for risk taking! I must confess however that I find it more difficult to truly engage the interaction as I used to. I guess Charlie is just getting older... ;-)
