Now we are getting somewhere. Yes, November numbers were roughly 2.7 times October numbers. But they weren't 2.7 times higher than October numbers, they were 1.7 times higher. Your use of the word "higher" or "up" in your previous statements means that you have to subtract the value you are comparing against. Consider my example of flat sales (0% higher sequentially). It's correct to say that the new numbers are 1X the previous number, but it's absolutely incorrect to say that new number is 1X higher than the previous number.
