Now we are getting somewhere. Yes, November numbers were roughly 2.7 times October numbers. But they weren't 2.7 times *higher* than October numbers, they were 1.7 times *higher.* Your use of the word "higher" or "up" in your previous statements means that you *have* to subtract the value you are comparing against. Consider my example of flat sales (0% higher sequentially). It's correct to say that the new numbers are 1X the previous number, but it's absolutely incorrect to say that new number is 1X *higher* than the previous number.
