Why are CDS's still being talked about? After the "non default" by Greece they have been proven worthless. Does anyone think that if a sovereign like Italy defaulted that any CDS would pay out?

Basically nothing in the world convinced me that the retail index RTH which is up at its ALT going into today is going to still be there after our Holiday season ends or that the euros were going to be able to do anything today but piss on the fire . Lot of stock behaviors this week indicating no confidence in this rally but you play it up to the 1264 resisitance .

While others watched the ramp on the SPY /ES premarket on the slightly improved unemployment data up to $127.40 was buying the dip on the TZA @ $26.30 for certain clear flags were being raised as the day before when MON upped full year guidance and after gapping up lost all its gains , then they ramped the SPY back up yesterday on the IMF "rumor fund" , later denied .

The apparent weakness in AAPL not even being able to clear $400 mark all this time and Banks all reporting huge writedowns with 100's of 1000's of lafoffs in the works into the budget cuts of Jan ...and Corzine of MF Global bankruptcy testimony today of : 'I don't know where the money is'

And your favorite "American Airlines " going BK was in play last few days which fortunes were made long and short , bouncing off 25c to $120 and down again . Barely time to think but my thesis was 1260 was not even going to get broken up thru , even MCD was a short today , one of the rare time i shorted "BBQ pork ribs " ;o)
