Do you need an app for reading library books on the Fire? I have one and am still reading the initial book I downloaded. (It is complicated.)

Have you read any of the free google books? As I understand it, if it's published before 1923, there are no copyrights on it.

Google has scanned many books from before 1923.

Here's a search I done:

google.com

choose date ranges on the left, like before 1923

if google has it, it is a free pdf download.

like Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe, a free pdf download
