Yes, something is odd.

I really doubt that the Iranians had the capacity for such a sophisticated operation. They would have had to kow the kind of drone, type of system, etc., then built the software necessary to do the job. Plus, detect the drone at precisely the right time. The work seems daunting for the Iranians, but perhaps not for Russians or Chinese.

It might be a ruse.
