I looked up some of the comments on that- I got: "Romney just threw down 1/4 of my yearly salary on a bet" "How else do you shut someone up who is lying? You offer them a bet you know they won't they take." then there was a lot of - "This is what they talk about? Where are the real issues." Seems to be cutting against Romney- though it certainly didn't have to. I can see the "How else do you shout someone up" point. There's a lot of lying in this campaign- and I guess the only way you can tell when these reps are lying is to watch when their lips move. So it's ironic that Romney annoyed about a lie, managed to stab himself. I'm finding this campaign so much fun. I can't remember ever enjoying watching republicans as much as I am this year.
