It is the use made of the medium. My comments on the subject of TV have been made somewhat tongue in cheek. However, for me TV was not good as I was too cheap to buy cable and I couldn't keep away from the news shows which simply infuriated me with their slant -- simultaneously my wife just felt she was watching too much and getting rid of the thing was the easiest way to go for both of us.

I never meant to judge anyone.

Up until a few years ago my in-laws owned a cable franchise. Obviously, some of the content provided on their system was not "wholesome," but they couldn't get a lot of things except through a package deal. They thought we were being sort of weird for while, but now have accepted the fact we don't own a TV.
