I think I understand what you are trying to say.

If I have 1000 shares of Dell, I can sell 10 calls (for example sake) for $4. If there is a 2 for 1 split and I now own 2000 shares, I can write 20 calls the following month. You're saying that I won't get $4 each for the calls but just $2? Or would it just be adjusted down somewhat from the $4? Would the following month call price also be cut in half? It seems that I should get more cash into my account if I have more shares through the split if I'm selling the options.

I appreciate your time and explanations, and thanks for being kinder and gentler too! :o)
