Message 27817180 They did a short news report on this issue here in Canada. The university degree has been sold to the current generation as a ticket to success. Unfortunately a lot of people are make choices of taking degrees that interest them like liberal arts degrees as opposed to degrees that are more career focused. Some people are heading back to Poly-technical institutes after and undergraduate degree to get a technical certificate in a areas that is more job focused. Even on the trades side the economic expansion of the last few years has evaporated and older trades people are not retiring as soon as expected since the stock market crash is forcing people to retire later.
