It is. Just hang in there. It takes a long time to get over pneumonia - even when nothing else is going on.

Smithee, you have made me laugh (with Stella and Lily and their crates), and get weepy in sympathy with both you and Lynne....all in two posts.

You and Lynne and your Doctors are doing everything possible so that she can get to good health again....sometimes things are just out of our hands. Probably the best thing that both of you can do is just relax and enjoy each minute you have together....

Pneumonia is a funny thing....it doesn't thrive when we do what we know has to be done....rest, rest, water, juice, rest, rest, read or otherwise relax, rest, meal, rest, rest, water, juice, rest, rest and rest.

When I was so very sick several years ago, and the Docs thought I might die (GLAD they didn't tell me that!! till later).....There wasn't a piece of my body that didn't hurt...felt like I was lying on those pillows with the little bits of foam.....but the foam felt hard and as if it were made of rocks with sharp points... A friend of mine called....she asked how I was..

So instead of my usual, "oh, I'm fine"....I told her, and didn't mince any words.

SHE then shook me to my bones....Said over the phone: "Karen, you STOP that this minute. You have lots to live for, people who care about you...Look at those flowers around you, those get well cards, feel the love"......"IF you say JOY, 100 times to day, it won't be too many times...." "Think of all the love you have received from so many"....and so many other things like that in the same vein.

SO I DID do exactly what she said to do. And funny thing.....that day must have been the start of me getting better, as the next day the fever started to come down, and while it took another week of being in the hospital, I think that was the turning point.

Hopefully, Lynne will feel better soon....I can visualize hundreds of arms around her, you, and the girls....all giving you all many hugs and strength and of course, love.....
