a modern version of millenial apocalypse superstition. Count on the scientifically illiterate to fall for the same old scams time and time again.

No question there are a raft of classic fear mongering scams that wrapped with apocalyptical superstition.

Check out mille.org

Fear of the approaching millennium is hardly new. The only difference this time is that modern society runs on electricity & silicon with bogus software built into it.

Hi Bill, I've been studying your shorts and was wondering if you could provide your rationale for shorting ATHM. I have not gone beyond the Yahoo profile but noticed it is an internet cable provider subsidiary of TCOMA with a huge market cap ans loosing money. Given the fact everybody says the future of internet connection is cable could the current price be justified?

More proof that Y2K is a 'scam'... now the Federal Reserve Board has joined the ranks of the scamed. I'm sure these guys get the wool pulled over their eyes all the time.

You can get a free 10 minute video at bog.fed.us it's the sort of thing you might want to play at your upcoming company Christmas or New Years party.

The video doesn't exactly break any new ground, but it does leave the impression that the Fed takes Y2K seriously.
