Obama Campaign Collecting GOP Emails .......................................................................................... by Keith Koffler December 14, 2011 whitehousedossier.com The Obama presidential campaign is launching an effort to collect Republican email addresses by inviting its supporters to submit information about their Republican associates to the Obama 2012 website. The effort could help the Obama campaign build a database that would enable it to target Republican voters during the general election campaign. But, more perniciously, it could also become part of an Democratic effort to influence Republican primary voters to select a candidate Democrats think Obama could most easily defeat. The Democratic National Committee last month released a video that seemed designed to damage Mitt Romney, the GOP candidate feared most by the Obama campaign. The Obama information collection effort is cast under the mischievous guise of asking Obama supporters to “have a little fun at the expense of a Republican in your life” by signing them up to get an email from the Obama campaign ribbing them for having “inspired” the Obama supporter to donate. The result, however, is that the Obama campaign gets a new trove of Republican email addresses that it could never have collected through voluntary submissions. This holiday season, we’re giving you a chance to have a little fun at the expense of a Republican in your life by letting them know they inspired you to make a donation to the Obama campaign. Simply enter their name and email address below. Then, we’ll send them a message letting them know they inspired you to donate. Thank you for supporting this campaign, and happy holidays. Important: By making a donation today, you’ll be automatically entered for a chance to have dinner with Barack and Michelle Obama. By clicking on the “Submit” button below or otherwise participating in the promotion, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all of the eligibility requirements. The effort is being supported by emails from the campaign to members of the vast Obama 2012 email list urging them to participate. One message, from Deputy Campaign Manager Julianna Smoot, also invites donors to buy something from the Obama 2012 store for their Republican friend. Really want to fire up your GOP friends? Buy them a gift from the 2012 store. I recommend the birther mugs — they get the message across pretty well. The email was sent Tuesday. If the Obama supporter sends the gift directly to their Republican friend, then the campaign has a new personal address for its database.

The people of Egypt will never love America. They won’t – it’s shocking for the White House – even love Obama. And once the Muslim Brotherhood is running Egypt, they will suffer, and so will we. And Egyptians will get plenty of violence. Well, Islamist rule has been ordered, and it’s on the way, as this piece in today’s Wall Street Journal makes clear. Average Egyptians cheered the other day as liberal reformers were cleared once and for all from Tahrir Square. Elections have been pushed to November, but the liberals and the secularists appear not to have taken advantage of the delay. Instead of organizing themselves into a coherent bloc, they have set up minuscule rival parties and feuded among themselves, say analysts and diplomats. “There is a power game going on—and the liberals and the entire secular movement are the weaker element, while the Islamists and the army are strong,” said Laila Soueif, a liberal activist and human-rights campaigner who teaches at Cairo University. The army will do well under the Mullahs, and be given much work to do. To cap off the Jimmy Carterization of his presidency – bad economy, rising federal spending, growing disrespect abroad, etc. – President Obama is on the way to turning our foremost ally in the Middle East into a fiefdom ruled by America hating, medieval mullahs intent on acquiring 21st century weaponry with which to destroy us. Just like Jimmy did with Iran. I doubt Obama is giving it a thought. Too busy bullying Israel into dealing with Hamas.

Eric Holder Targets Voter ID Laws Just in Time for 2012 Election ................................................................................................................................... Wednesday, 14 Dec 2011 newsmax.com Gaffe-prone attorney general Eric Holder came under new Republican fire on Wednesday after calling for an end to state laws requiring voters to show identification at polling stations. Sen. John Cornyn of Texas immediately slammed Holder. "Voter identification laws are constitutional and necessary to prevent fraud at the ballot box," Cornyn said. "Facing an election challenge next year, this administration has chosen to target efforts by the states to protect the democratic process." The increased pressure on Holder came on the same day that 22 House Republicans proposed a vote of no confidence in him for his handling of the Fast and Furious gunrunning scheme. The move was headed by Rep. Paul Gosar of Arizona, who told Newsmax that Holder’s speech was further proof that “he is completely out of his depth as attorney general.” “In the game of baseball it’s three strikes and you’re out,” Gosar added. “First, with the Fast and Furious gunrunning operation, then with the laundering of U.S taxpayers money to Mexican cartels and finally now an attempt to circumvent the states’ rights to promote secure elections, Attorney General Holder has shown that he is completely out of touch with the American people. “If we are to maintain the integrity of the democratic process, it is not unreasonable that voters should show appropriate identification when they turn up at polling stations and for him to suggest otherwise flies in the face of common sense,” added Gosar. “I have already called on Mr. Holder to resign over Fast and Furious. This latest speech should serve as his final strike.” Republicans have been increasingly concerned that the administration wants to loosen voter identification laws in states with significant numbers of immigrants, poor and black voters to help Barack Obama win among traditionally-Democratic leaning minorities in the 2012 election. Holder was greeted by around 100 protesters when he turned up at the symbolically important Lyndon Johnson presidential library in Austin, Texas. Johnson signed the Voting Rights Act in 1965 which allows the federal government to interfere in state voting laws if they would disproportionately deter minority groups from voting. The conservative protesters, who had traveled from all over Texas, waved signs calling for Holder’s impeachment or indictment. They claimed there is no need for government interference on voting. One of them, former Justice Department attorney J. Christian Adams told Fox News, “He’s announcing war on Texas tonight.” The attorney general said he was concerned about measures that tended “to restrict in ways that are subtle, and sometimes not so subtle, the ability of the American people to cast their ballots.” He said protecting access to the voting process “must be viewed not only as a legal issue but as a moral imperative.” And in a thinly veiled attack on Republicans, Holder said he was calling on political parties “to resist the temptation to suppress certain votes in the hope of attaining electoral success and, instead, achieve success by appealing to more voters.” Already this year eight states, Alabama, Kansas, Mississippi, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, have passed laws insisting on voters showing government-issued photo identification at polling stations. They no longer accept other forms of ID such as utility bills, bank statements or social security cards. One study suggested the crackdown could affect up to 5 million voters, said The Washington Post. Hans von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation told the Post that Holder’s stance is based on “ideology and politics,” saying that courts have found voter ID laws in both Georgia and Indiana to be nondiscriminatory. “Georgia’s law has been in place for five years,” added von Spakovsky, a Justice Department official in the George W. Bush administration. “Not only did the turnout for African Americans not go down, it went up.” The New York Times said Holder had made his speech “against the backdrop of a huge turnout of young and minority voters in the 2008 election that helped propel President Obama to victory. “In the 2010 election, when voting by such groups dropped off and enthusiasm among conservative groups surged, Republicans won sweeping victories, winning or expanding control of many state legislatures and governorships,” added the Times. During his speech in Austin, Holder suggested a system that would automatically register all eligible voters and called for a ban on state legislators gerrymandering their own districts. He also called for a federal law to prohibit the dissemination of fraudulent information which deceived people into not voting. “The most recent census data indicated that Texas has gained more than 4 million new residents – the vast majority of whom are Hispanic –and this growth allows for four new congressional seats,” he said. “However this state has proposed adding zero additional seats in which Hispanics would have the electoral opportunity envisioned by the Voting Rights Act.” Read more on Newsmax.com: Eric Holder Targets Voter ID Laws Just in Time for 2012 Election

NPR is going at Lowe's and the muslim TV show hot and heavy tonight. According to NPR, the US is on the level of Hitler Germany's treatment of the Jews. They have on the producer of the show and the 'actors' on the low rated show--all crying that muslims are mistreated by the mean Americans, that HATE is in the air that muslims have been mistreated by racist bigots since 9-11, that the insane right wing racist association paints the nice, benign muslims as killers and America haters when in reality they are all American patriots and that no one will ever shop at Lowe's again. 100% of the callers NPR allows on say that this is now equal to Hitler's Germany, that they will never shop at Lowe's again and that they will religiously watch the muslim TV show from now on. When I got out of my car NPR was playing the audio of selections from the lovely show.
