The problem is, the funding proved inadequate and America took its collective foot off the accelerator and did not follow through. Years later, President Truman also had a good plan with Operation Wetback. Again, it worked at first, but America took its collective foot off the accelerator and did not follow through. Today, we (e.g., the descendants of our European Founding Fathers) are reaping what was sown by America's repeated failures to follow through! Damnit!
