MF Global I found extremely unsettling. Segregated accounts...that's as sacred as your best friends sister.

I took 25% of the funds out of my non reg account a few weeks back and got it in those new plastic $100 notes...after getting some sideways looks from the banking staff... It probably seems paranoid to some but it makes me feel better as I carried 95% of my liquid cash in my trading account. An MF Global situation with the company I deal with and I'd be hooped.

(2008)
Feels and smells like 2008 .

Back in August I thought that...

Back then (2008) guys like Don Coxe were poopooing subprime right up until the minute it exploded..
All the outsiders were into gold..but not the mainstream..

Now everyone hangs on each piece of negative news.. governments are flailing their arms and flapping their gums about bad news.. most good news is couched with a big 'BUT....' as I've posted a few times most main stream analysts / managers 'like' gold.. even if they never considered it before.. everyone KNOWS governments are gonna print themselves into oblivion to mitigate huge debts.. or default.. but ultimately that IS default IMO (have posted that before too)

just my cranial gears spinning ...

time constrained these days..
