That is an absolute Classic on Religious Hypocrisy!!... That was Richard Dawkins special documentary filming when they approached then evangelical "family values" phenomenon Ted Haggard at his headquarters, just before he was exposed for having gay sex & soliciting meth . That's an absolute classic not to jeer or ridicule but to see how Dawkins conducts a perfectly gentile interview with Haggard who is obviously taken by surprise and can only respond with stupified smiles & quoting prepared thoughts ...much like brumar or greg's endless 5yr old cutting & pasting here . Dawkins simply asks him if they believe in geologic time frames of billions of years & Haggard gets unerved , you can see him squirming noticeably , afraid if he admits to any little thing he might "lose a battle for Christ" . It was a perfectly simple question about "time" and he couldn't give a straight answer that an 8yr old could , then later comes roaring out in his truck telling Dawkins & his crew to leave or be arrested and a personal attack on Dawkins , Haggard claims Professor Dawkins was calling his children "animals" leaving Dawkins & crew only to scratch their heads what this mentally disturbed person was talking about . Obviously later we find out that this head of the largest coalition of Baptist Evangelicals in the USA is soliciting meth and sex with a well muscled male personal trainer in Denver ...but was probably involved with that at the time of the interview .

That video also gives new meaning to the phrase "lip service " ... the minister could have had a call girl but was going after Gay sex & drugs ! (that clip pretty much captures the epitomy of shallow American Christian hypocrisy)

What a way to start the morning! That was both hilarious and disconcerting. The hate in Haggard's eyes was palpable. You could see that Dawkins was stunned and visibly shaken by such a close encounter with hate, evil, and psychotic dominance. This, by Maher, was a little bit LESS intense and quite humorous! (Falwell) found out you could "launder your HATE through the cover of God's Will"!! youtube.com "launder your HATE through the cover of God's Will"!! Isn't that exactly what we see here in the words of one (for instance) who cheers the (anticipated) eternal agony of Rand or you or me or Dawkins?? Or any other outspoken critic of those fairy tale sales people...

Message 27827757 The only reason to act with values in the world is because you imagine a monster is watching you and will punish you for being what you really are if you are caught at being who you really are??? REALLY??!! This is the VI's perspective! Is there any morality in such a perspective?? It must be wonderful to go through life completely clueless and absolutely bereft of any concept of who creates value in life and why they do--to stumble through existence deciding every action, (not on reasoned analysis dovetailed to your goals, objectives, desires, and VALUES)--but on the fears of being punished by an imaginary "father" who is in your house keeping his loving but "Just" eye fixed on you!!! I wonder how often our two VI's sat in the auditorium and watched that monster Haggard while wondering why they felt such a tingling attraction for his "truth". Lord love a duck...
