Stock Movements: Not Here (This Board's Subject Header Update) ...

Syl,

<< New 14 year low for Nokia... geez... NOK looks to not have a bottom... I thought the new CEO was the savior of Nokia... instead, he has become the kiss of death for Nokia... >>

That's certainly newsworthy, or at least the 1st 6 words are. It's as noteworthy as the 8 year low seen by RIMM on Friday.

Please take note of the fact that I've just modified this board's header, shortened it somewhat, and added (without the underscore) this sentence:

Stock quotes, discussions of stock price movements or our personal holdings are beyond this board's focus and are explicitly prohibited here.

There are 2 Nokia company boards on SI:

• Nokia (NOK) Subject 3710 (Unmoderated )

• Nokia Corp. (NOK) Subject 37377 (Moderated)

You have contributed 4 of the 9 posts submitted to this board in the last 3 weeks (and the other 5 posts were mine). Each of your 4 posts deal with Nokia share price, 3 reference Elop. and those 4 posts consist of a total of 7 lines and contain virtually no substance or redeeming value beyond the price which most investors or traders following the sector would have seen elsewhere. As pointed out to you prior your 1st of 2 back to back one-liners in that string replying to a single post by Jurgis leads off with an inaccurate statement which was then followed by a rhetorical question which begs no answer.

Should you care to follow NOK or NOK1V.HE price movement and clock ticks and post about it. or posts rhetorical questions or snide remarks about Elop or other corporate leaders (Cook or the late Steve Jobs,, Ballmer, Lazaridis or Balsillie) I would suggest you utilize the original unmoderated Nokia board referenced above, the Android OS board which you capably host, the unmoderated Mobile Computing board founded by Road Walker, the Microsoft board, FUBHO's Smartphones and Tablets board, or the Apple Tankwatch board founded by Zax who currently posts to the original Nokia board.

• Android OS Subject 57957 (Moderated)

• Apple Tankwatch Subject 58166 (Moderated)

• Microsoft Corp. Subject 53202 (Moderated)

• Mobile Computing Subject 58087 (Unmoderated)

• Smartphones and Tablets Subject 58081 (Moderated)

There is no shortage of available SI forums for your posting pleasure. You're most welcome to post here provided that your posts are in compliance with this boards objectives and its intent as stated in its subject header...

This board is intended to be a tightly focused discussion forum and a resource, not a chat room.
It is dedicated to intelligent and civil discussion of smartphones and Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs), the competing high-level operating systems (HLOS) that power them, the competing companies that develop and license those HLOS, as well as the semiconductor companies that design and manufacture baseband and application processor ICs providing support for them. Stock quotes, discussions of stock price movements or our personal holdings are beyond this board's focus and are explicitly prohibited here. All SI members that are interested are invited to post and participate, or lurk and use the board as a resource. Those that do choose to actively participate should be aware that this is not a virtual battlefield where individuals wage war against other participants who favor smartphones manufactured by other than our own favorite branded smartphone OEM and/or those utilizing our favorite OS. Our objective should be to filter "noise" not create it.
