“The end of former Iraq President Saddam Hussein’s brutal regime represents a considerable global good, and a nascent democratic Iraqi republic partnered with the United States could potentially yield benefits in the future,” Duss and Juul of the Center for American Progress write. “But when weighing those possible benefits against the costs of the Iraq intervention, there is simply no conceivable calculus by which Operation Iraqi Freedom can be judged to have been a successful or worthwhile policy.”

Ridiculous statement.

A more accurate version would be, “But when weighing those possible benefits against the costs of the Iraq intervention, there is simply no conceivable calculus by which Operation Iraqi Freedom can be judged to have been a successful or worthwhile policy, in the minds of most liberals who have no understanding of such matters, at all.”

It is worth mentioning that the one modern-day liberal who can reasonably be said to possess "intelligence", is the now-late Chris Hitchens, who understood the rationale for the war and supported it--and, to his credit, didn't run from his opinion when the going got tough. Many, many other liberals supported it until it got ugly. In fact, the current grossly incompetent president is one of the few who didn't.

Really....in the end, all you libbers care about is what it COST you in dollars. You only throw in the US KIAs as an aside. Which by the way, were very light. More soldiers were killed in two months in WW2 than in 8 years in Iraq.

How many funerals did Obammy attend? Oh...he didn't haver time what with all the golf games, flying to Hawaii, and passing out money to his crooked cronies.
