At present time everyone worships the US monetary system with the huge balance sheet of the US FED stuffed with substantial amounts of questionable paper obligation to pay, from people that may be, do not have a job or hardly come by, or companies that barely make an accounting profit EU is taking the hard medicine now and the US is papering all with more debt until it will arrive to Italian proportion if not worse. Horror stories about Greece abound and for unexplainable reason some one is buying EUR's as it is relatively stubbornly high. As such one should apply the old mantra -buy stock when fear rules on WS. I am very fearful with my EUR holdings which are now a small part of years ago when I bought at an exchange rate of around 0.8 to the USD and converted to NOK, AUD and CAD this spring, and may be this is another sign of a bottom I do tip my hat to Angela Merkel and her team as they try to impose discipline on the EU members at great risks to their own country. For doing this Angela Merkel proved a lot of courage even that she is despised by all financial types and an inflammatory propaganda is targeting her at a time that she is the only realistic person leading a country. I lost a Scottish friend after blaming Cameron for his irresponsible selfish and idiotic conduct, which conduct perfectly reflect what is wrong with Western democracies – those with money rule the government and not the electorate who elected the government as democracy is the rule of the clueless and naïve. Unfortunate I do not have a reasonable solution which will not end up in de-facto dictatorship like in the so called “managed” democracy in Russia and now Ukraine. Unfortunate what I do anticipate is the spread of this type of “managed” democracy to other countries as the middle class is crumbling everywhere and cronyism and corruption rises, resulting in the ruling of the corruptly rich and shattering the notion of a true honest and equal democracy in the Western World, which brings me back to the biblical times of King Solomon and his timeless wisdom. What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun? 4 One generation passeth away, and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. 5 The sun also ariseth, and the sun goeth down, and hasteth to his place where he arose. 6 The wind goeth toward the south, and turneth about unto the north; it whirleth about continually, and the wind returneth again according to his circuits. 7 All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again. 8 All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing. 9 The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun. 10 Is there any thing whereof it may be said, See, this is new? it hath been already of old time, which was before us. 11 There is no remembrance of former things; neither shall there be any remembrance of things that are to come with those that shall come after.
