I don't want to crowd this thread, but I can't believe I forgot to mention the self-fulfilling prophecy nature of TA...or the MacBeth effect as I call it.

MEATHEAD, I'm quite proud of my results but I wouldn't call them awesome. If you find one of these stocks in which it's "EASY to tune a set of indicators through backtesting to yeild awesome results", will you let me know? I know they're out there. I have no problem with accurately predicting the past if it consistently makes me $$$. Oh yeah, about that. What else do we have to learn from if it's not from the past? Isn't that what learning's all about...taking patterns, causes and effects from the past, remembering them, and applying them to the present and future (after considering the differences and similarities)? That's how I do it.

Can someone tell me where Paul's Vegas strategy is posted. I read most of the dell messages, but missed that one. Is it similar to the supersticious penguin story?
